WHAT’S MY STORY?

It’s driven by a love of food—an obsessive one. Ok, and by words and design. I’m the happiest when all three come together.

After a cooking school stint in New York, I returned to the Bay Area to work as a food writer and magazine editor at 7x7 and San Francisco Magazine. I’ve contributed to the likes of Eater, Saveur, Sunset, Taste, Bon Appétit and Gourmet and have published a few cookbooks. But it took having my skin in the restaurant game to understand how equally relentless and rewarding the industry is. My claim to fame? José Andrés retweeted my mea culpa.

Since 2010, I’ve been a partner at Tacolicious and, for years, worked as the Branding and Marketing Director for our popular multi-unit restaurant group. In that time, I helped launch five concepts under our umbrella and also led menu development, interior design, cultural training, and the curation of toilet paper holders.

I approach my work with creativity, practicality, and, hopefully, some good humor. But—most importantly—I have a lot of empathy for what it takes to build a brand and run a business.

Like, a lot.
